We got bought a Pendleton pool table and it is awesome. Ours has a solid one-piece slate surface, and you do have to level it precisely, but once leveled, the playing field is superior to a 3 piece slate table. The solid carved wood & leather pockets are gorgeous (mine is darker than this one). We had a Brunswick "pressed wood" laminated table before this one which was really a piece of junk compared to this one.
This table is very impressive. Everyone is really blown away by it. One friend of ours is considering converting his garage to a den just to get one ;-). Definitely recommend Pendelton tables.
